Auto Industry Collapse and Philosophy - Don't Blame Capitalism, Blame the Government Regulators

I always find it fascinating when an industry implodes and the administration talks about perhaps coming in and saving the industry to protect American jobs. The cause I find this concept laughable is since if you trace back the various events in the industry you can always find some sort of overregulation which was inadvertently pushed onto the industry for whatever cause which caused the collapse. It might have been due to a competitor trying to prevent another competitor from gaining the advantage through lobbying their congressperson to enact specific laws.
