Green And Sustainable Packaging

The pressure for companies to immediately go green with their packaging is immediately huge, yet going green is not really the same as using sustainable packaging, as sustainable packaging is defined as being functional (e.g. fit for purpose), cost effective to employ (e.g. it is green, however at an affordable value for a manufacturer to employ), and supports extended term human and ecological well being. Not all "Green" packaging meets these sustainable criteria, such as biodegradable plastics.
