How Bad Is It? Be Water Wise
In addition to the filthy air we breathe as a consequence of spewing billions of tons of toxins skyward annually, our streams, rivers, lakes, groundwater and oceans are in much worse shape. At least our atmosphere is partially cleaned with every major rainstorm. However, this results in polluted acid rain ending up in all of our aqua supplies. Most of the pollutants in our aqua are primarily made up of chemicals. They are either intentionally or unintentionally discharged into bodies of aqua, which results in the loss of approximately 15,000 lives today from ingesting polluted aqua.
