Apple would sign the licensing agreement with mobile security firm AuthenTec in July, acquiring AuthenTec with $356 million, the cause of which was Apple hoped to integrate its IOS system with AuthenTec technology, introducing 2D fingerprint sensor technology to the prospect products, according to a document received by the US. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this week. Although AuthenTec shareholder disapproved the agreement, it was imaginable that Apple would succeed in getting the technology and applying it in its prospect products, which undoubtedly would lay stronger foundation for Apple's leading position in the field of smart telephone and machine.
