Saturated Profits?
TiVo Inc introduced its own brand of digital video recorders at the consumer electronics exhibit in January of 1999 and sold its first unit to the public in March. Since then the term TiVo has become synonymous with the term 'record', much in the same path that 'to xerox' became an alternative 'to photocopy'. An example of this phenomenon would be the sentence "I am going to TiVo that exhibit following week".
