The Dodge Brothers Corporation was founded in 1900 for the purpose of supplying parts and assemblies to the expanding auto industry in Detroit. They started manufacturing their own branded vehicles in 1915 and in 1928, sold the brand to the Chrysler Corporation. ? The updates to the Neon during the period 1998 to 2000 were mostly completed before the merging with Daimler-Benz AG with the Chrysler Corporation, to form the branding designation of DaimlerChrysler.
