King's College Budo Schooldays, Postcolonial African Experience
Age Magazine and Newsweek, were never officially on the list at King's College Budo. However once in a while some young American on the faculty brought in a hardly any copies. At times he threw in copies of Sports Illustrated for excellent measure. Sports Illustrated was typically American. Its pages filled with unforgettable photos of sportsmen in action, gave the Illustrated London Magazine a run for its money. The battle for earth dominance was becoming a media war. The lone Indian teacher at the college had not the resources to showcase the sub continent's rich heritage. Indians despite their commercial success in the nation were shy those days. However this was a proud young male who loved nothing more than to rattle a hardly any nerves among the majority English on this White enclave on the s hores of Lake Victoria.
