Movie Review - Catch 44 (2011) (R)

Catch 44 is unpleasant, unfocused, and weird - a film that tries to be something like a crime drama, a comic textbook thriller, and an exploitation film all rolled into one, however somehow hovers just outside of range of all of them. Its structure is awkward. It starts with a hardly any select clips from the tale's end, then backtracks to the commence of the final shootout, then backtracks much further to the events leading up to the shootout before flashing forward and showing just a small bit more of the final shootout.
